Soffritto style Bolognese or Australian Spag Bol style. This is good, you need it in your life. Cooked for hours to blend the flavours, its a family favourite. Demanded by the boys several times a month.
Amatriciana
Classic Roman guanciale, tomato, chili and basil pasta sauce. This is a masterpiece. The boys were making it before they could walk. Which was extremely messy.

Irish Coddle
Also known as a Dublin Coddle, this will seriously harm the cockles of your heart. The son of our local butcher in Aldeia da Juzo spent 14 years mastering the english and irish banger to enable us to give you this sunday night special. The perfect combination of pork sausgae, speck, carrots, onion, potato and herbs to feed the troops.
Italian Cottage Pie
A traditional cottage pie with the addition of nduja. Feels like a hug. All the veggies you need with some of the most delicious beef on earth, underneath a bed of buttery, garlicy mash potato. Pop it in the oven and cook up some peas. Job done, family in seventh heaven.
Soups
Mushroom Soup
Hearty mushroom soup. Deliciously dark and moody using button, brown or portobello mushrooms to give the rich flavour that goes perfectly with the dried porcini. Using our homemade chicken broth to add depth and extra goodness. We use a bit of heavy cooking cream and butter to add thickness and extra comfort. No nuts were harmed in the making of the soup, however a couple of onions and celery sticks were not so lucky.
Party favourite
Gravad Lax
Gravad Lax or Gravalax for those of you who don't know Swedish and the origins of this beautiful crowd pleaser. Made with our family recipe consisting of the best skin on salmon filet cured in a mix of sugar, juniper berries, white pepper and quite a lot of dill and gin. This is a festive dish and a must for your next get together.
